Alan
Rich is a scientist / engineer currently working at
IBM in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. His career
has spanned various areas of research and development
in chemistry, physics, and engineering. Interests include
model rocketry, high-powered rocketry, astronomy / cosmology
/ astrophysics, and (as a hobby) the application of
aerospace technology to BMW race cars.
He
enjoys working with children, as a soccer coach, and
as a volunteer science presenter in local public schools.
