Andy has been a NASA volunteer since 1997 and a NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador since 2004 . He has a degree in Electrical Engineering and has worked as a Medical Imaging Engineer for 37 years. Andy is certified by NASA to handle Lunar samples, a science reporter for a local Connecticut radio station and a member of The Astronomical Society of New Haven. He is presently working on a 15 1/2" Dobsonian public outreach telescope, and public outreach astronomy and space exploration radio/podcast shows. In his spare time, Andy enjoys spending time with his family, educating the public in science and astronomy, and designing and building telescopes.
