Photo of Ambassador
Dr. Schmiedekamp is an associate professor at Penn State University, Abington College. Since 1989 she has taught introductory astronomy course for nonscience majors and is involved with the development learning modules in the introductory astronomy curriculum. In addition she has given numerous presentations on astronomy to general public audiences oriented both toward children and adults. Her involvement in the Solar System Ambassadors program since 1999 is a natural outgrowth of those efforts.
