Barbara Winkler-Chimbor's first book on astronomy dates back to 1984. The Universe, Planets, Suns and Galaxies in German was required as a mandatory reading from her high school teacher. She even has hand-written notes and mathematic formulas for estimating planet movements from that time. Barbara obtained a four-year degree in applied physics in her home country of Germany; however, destiny led her down a different path. She ended up in the United States and now dedicates her work and professional life to providing a safe and secure learning environment to students nationwide. She is committed to teach the new generation about the importance of science and space exploration for future generations.
