Beate
Czogalla is an Assistant Professor of Theater Design
in the Department of Music and Theater at Georgia College
& State University in Milledgeville, Georgia. She has
had a lifelong interest in space exploration and has
been a volunteer in NASA's Education Outreach Program
for several years. In combining her job and her interest
in space topics Ms Czogalla has found an ideal balance
between the arts and the sciences. Prior to moving to
Georgia Ms Czogalla taught at The University of Southern
Indiana in Evansville, Indiana for 7 years. She has
an MFA in Lighting Design and Scenography from Virginia
Tech. She is multilingual and has designed internationally
both in Europe and North America. She is also a certified
Advanced Open Water Diver and a kite builder.
Ms.
Czogalla enjoys being a Solar System Ambassador, meeting
new people and getting them excited about space exploration.
