I was born on January 31, 1959 in New Albany, Indiana.
I went to New Albany High School where Edwin Hubble
taught for a year. I graduated from Ball State University
in 1981 with a BS degree in Industrial Technology Education.
In 1980 I married my childhood sweetheart, Tammy O'Rear.
We now have two great kids, Scott (11) and Kathryn (7)
who we named for excellent students we both had. I began
teaching Science five years ago and I love what I am
doing. I am currently in charge of teaching the middle
school planetarium program and I hope to develop the
planetarium to its fullest potential as a tool to teach
about space.
