I
am currently assigned as a science enrichment teacher
for Brownsville ISD. I also will begin teaching a lab
for the astronomy course at the University of Texas,
Brownsville. My elementary students are new to astronomy
and very enthusiastic. They have become sun and moon
watchers and a small group greet me every morning with
"I saw/didn't see..." I am having a great
time sharing formally and informally through several
venues. I work monthly with four teachers and their
students at a local middle school via an astronomy club
and have twice a month astronomy programs at the local
library as well as continue to write my weekly newspaper
column for two newspapers. I also am enjoying three
grandchildren who love the stars and moon too!
