Carolina Davila is a software developer originally from Bogota, Colombia, with a great passion for all things space. She moved to the United States when she was 16 years old with the hope of learning English and returning home. Carolina was amazed by the endless opportunities here to succeed regardless of income or background, so she ended up staying. Carolina has a degree in Computer Science, a business degree in Management and is currently working on her MBA at the University of Georgia.
Carolina enjoys a wide variety of sports. She was a swimmer as a teenager, played soccer in college, and participated in a marathon and a triathlon. She has a black belt in Karate and loves helping children with their karate training.
She had the once in a lifetime chance to see the Atlantis STS-132 shuttle launch up close, The experience was so moving and fascinating that it inspired her to share her knowledge of space and the US space program to a broader audience and encourage children to pursue fields in science.
