Since
1985 I have been a self-employed Astronomy/Space Science
Educator providing hands-on presentations and workshops
for schools, agencies and community events. The areas
that I covered included Western New York, Western Pennsylvania
and Northeastern Ohio. I also have a mail order catalog
which includes Astro-Space educational materials that
I sell. Currently, I am developing mini space camps
to be offered in the Jamestown, N.Y. area. A diversity
of space science topics will be explored. During the
summer of 2003 five to seven week-long space camps will
be offered to the community and surrounding areas. Along
with these space camps, there will be public and family
oriented programs offered three times a month. Another
avenue of educating people has been on television. I
have appeared on TV advocating and demonstrating Space
Science hands-on activities. By being a Solar System
Ambassador it gives me the ability to expand on my scope
of presentations and audience. I look forward in the
continuing efforts of helping people become science
literate and to appreciate how science affects us all.
