Cindy
Sarmiento is the manager of an advanced technologies
software group at Lockheed Martin Space Systems in Denver,
Colorado. She has over thirty years of experience in
Software Engineering including commercial & aerospace
applications as well as academics. Areas of specialization
include large-scale database design, artificial intelligence
and expert systems. Cindy has published multiple articles
about Artificial Intelligence in academic journals along
with a book chapter on Expert Systems. She served as
guest editor for an issue of the Journal of Artificial
Intelligence in Medicine.
Current
areas of interest are Data Mining and Data Visualization.
