As a space science enthusiast, Cliff Fenton has twelve years of independent study and research in Astronomy and Lunar and Martian geology. He also completed courses in the Masters of Science program through Montana State University. As an Adjunct Professor of Astronomy Cliff taught courses at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Lousiana, and shared his enjoyment of space science with students at the St. George Observatory in Schriever, teaching continuing education classes. He participated in field trips with the Lunar and Planetary Institute in Houston, Texas as an educator and photojournalist. Two trips Cliff participated in were; "The Great Desert: Geology and Life on Mars and in the Southwest" (http://www.lpi.usra.edu/science/treiman/greatdesert/) and "Floods and Flows: Exploring Mars Geology on Earth" (http://www.lpi.usra.edu/education/fieldtrips/2004/). Another field trip he attended was "Fire and Ice," with the Glendale Community College in Arizona, where participants compared the geology of Earth and Mars as they traveled through the volcanic regions of California.
