Dan Malerbo is the educational coordinator for the Henry Buhl, Jr. Planetarium and Observatory. He is also a
staff educator at the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh.
Dan has presented hands-on astronomy and aerospace programs for educators and students for the past 23 years.
Those students range from pre-schoolers to adults in a credited college Astronomy class. In 1998 I was selected for the Stardust
Education Fellowship program. He was also an educator for NASA's Star Station
One program and developed activities and workshops that were used in the science center and in the classrooms in our local schools.
Dan writes a weekly science column called the "Kids' Corner" and a Friday stargazing column. He also writes planetarium shows, including a show that was interactive.
