Daniel Caunt's interest in the universe began when he was eight years old and a neighbor down the street let everyone on the block use his telescope to see Haley's Comet as it made its pass in 1986. Soon after, his sister got her own telescope and the two of them gazed in awe at Saturn's rings and the craters on the moon from their front yard. Since then, Daniel has always had an affinity towards space exploration. He frequents public nights at local observatories, reads and watches anything related to the cosmos, and is currently taking night classes in astronomy. His latest project is to build his own sundial.
