In third grade someone told Guy that the sun was an average of 93 million miles away, and he has been fascinated with space ever since. He graduated with a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2007 and is now a NASA contractor. He spent two years at NASA Ames Research Center and is now working at Johnson Space Center in aerodynamics and computational fluid dynamics. Some projects he has been involved in are the Ares V, various Space Shuttle applications including the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft, supersonic retropropulsion for Martian entry, the Orion capsule, and project Morpheus.
"I am fascinated with and love talking about space and NASA missions to all age groups. Please don't hesitate to e-mail me a request!" -Guy Schauerhamer
