Dianne
Simon Martin is a resource teacher with the Mobile County
Public School System serving 65,000 students. She has
a keen interest in educating people about aerospace.
Space exploration is such an intriguing topic in which
Dianne loves to involve others. She is willing to work
with individuals or groups who are interested in learning
about our solar system. Networking with those who want
to spread the word about space exploration is important.
Dianne has a strong background in aerospace education.
She was a finalist in the Teacher in Space Program in
Alabama. The National Space Club awarded her with their
first Von Braun Aerospace Educator Award in 1996. She
works with approximately 9000 students and teachers
yearly. During her career Dianne has made presentations
at over two dozen conferences and at over 100 workshops.
I
was selected as the "A. Scott Crossfield Aerospace Teacher
of the Year." This is a national award.
