Biographical Information:

Photo of AmbassadorDoreen Forsythe has been passionate about the space program since Sputnik and really loves sharing her excitement with others. She moved to Huntsville, AL in 1974 and became very involved in the NASA community there and has had the pleasure of working with some members of the VonBraun rocket team. She greatly misses her friend, Dr. Ernst Stuhlinger who actually pushed the button to launch the Explorer I satellite (the first satellite US launched in response to Sputnik). Dr. Stuhlinger died the day the Mars Polar Lander, Phoenix, landed on Mars. This is ironic, because Ernst has such a passion for Mars and loved taking to people about the day when we will walk on Mars.

Doreen is also really eager for the day when we will walk on the moon again, and on Mars. She loves talking about the Constellation program.
