For
years I owned a small telescope and was an occasional
star gazer. After John Glenn's epic space flight and
NASA's space explorations my interest increased and
I became interested in visual astronomy, astrophotography
and radio astronomy. After my retirement as a Quality
Assurance Manager I became actively involved in amateur
astronomy, helping to form an astronomy club and developing
a slide program about the Solar System for presentations
at schools, clubs and at the State Park. The slide and
visual programs have been successful and I hope to improve
my knowledge and materials as a Solar System Ambassador.
