George R. Walczak holds a BA in English Literature/Communications from Cook College, Rutgers University, as well as an MFA in screenwriting from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. George won the prestigious Alfred P. Sloan award while a Fellow at the AFI. The Award is given to screenwriters who write on science related subjects and issues. George is a working screenwriter and also a senior lecturer in screenwriting at the AFI. George has also taught in the AFI's Catalyst Program which brings scientists and screenwriters together in Hollywood. George is married and lives with his wife, two teenage sons, and Labrador in Ojai, California.
