Gilberto Monarez has participated in the weightless flights, the Nanotechnology Graduate Class at Regis University with the U.S. Space Foundation and in the University of Texas at El Paso Mother/Daugther Conference. He is also a 2Lt Aerospace Officer for the TX 215 Civil Air Patrol Squadron. Presently also working on a second Master in Instructional Technology at the University of Texas at El Paso.
