Astronomy
has been an important part of my life as far back as
I can remember, and I've stayed involved in it both
professionally and as a hobby. I earned my BS In astronomy/physics
from Washington State University in 1994, and am currently
working on a Masters in Astronomy. Professionally, I
worked as the Planetarium Educator for the Vanderbilt
Planetarium on Long Island for several years before
moving on to a new position at the American Museum of
Natural History/Hayden Planetarium. There, I had the
privilege of working with an outstanding group of volunteers
as the Supervisor of the Earth and Space Explainer Program
for the new Rose Center for Earth and Space before moving
on to become the Director of the Novins Planetarium
in Toms River, New Jersey. I also stay actively involved
with amateur astronomy groups, the Earth & Space
Explainer Program, and professional organizations such
as the Middle Atlantic Planetarium Society and the International
Planetarium Society.
