Dr.
Gregory T. Shanos is a consultant pharmacist by profession
and Solar System Ambassador by passion. His interest
in astronomy was rekindled when Halley's comet reappeared
in 1985. since then Dr. Shanos has directed and assisted
in many public observing nights for amateur astronomy
clubs. In addition, he has written and presented lectures
on various astronomical topics throughout the years.
An avid eclipse chaser, Greg will travel the planet
to stand in the earth's shadow.
Dr.
Shanos is also an avid meteorite and fossil collector.
He has published several articles in Meteorite! Magazine.
His data on cometary observations are archived at the
Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory at Harvard University
and published in the International Comet Quarterly.
Greg Shanos currently resides in Longboat Key, Florida
with his wife Denise.
