Biographical Information:

Photo of Ambassador Howard Dimmick For more than 38 years, Howard Dimmick was a teacher and program supervisor of science in the Stoneham Public Schools. During those years, he was active in state and national science teaching improvement, presenting dozens of teacher training workshops at the state meetings in Massachusetts and now in Colorado, as well as NSTA conferences. As a member of the NASA 2001 Master Teacher Cadre at Wheeling Jesuit University in West Virginia, he helped develop new techniques for integrating technology into the science classroom. At Wheeling, one of the teacher participants remarked that he hoped after 30 years of teaching, he could be as excited as Howard was in preparing materials for other teachers.

Howard was involved in rewriting the earth science standards for Massachusetts in 2000 and has been involved writing questions for science assessment tests in Massachusetts as well as in California, and Texas.
