James
was a new Solar System Ambassador in 2002.
He is currently employed as a principal technical specialist
for a multi-national industrial automation company,
and also works part-time as a management and technology
consultant. James is originally from Michigan, and relocated
to York, Maine for his current employer.
James is a former member of the Michigan Society of
Planning Officials SAE and IEEE. James was also the
founder and former director of International Science
Research Corporation, a non-profit education and research
organization in Michigan.
Outside of his professional life, James is an amateur
astronomer and sports enthusiast. He has coached youth
football and baseball, and has played and coached amateur
hockey. James is also a professional musician, and is
currently recording a solo CD.

the days of the Mercury program. For me, being a Solar
System Ambassador is a unique opportunity to renew my
passion for space exploration, and then share this passion
with the public. I am grateful and honored to be a part
of the NASA and JPL family."
