I was raised about ten miles from Vandenberg Air force Base in the 1960's. Watching the hundreds of launches that took place there I developed a fascination for the space program. As a boy I knew all of the Astronauts names and was allowed by my parents to stay home from school to watch the different missions up to and including the moon walks. After seven years in the Navy I went to work for General Dynamics (later Lockheed Martin) and have, over seventeen years, worked in jobs of progressively greater responsibility.
