 Jeff
Paradis received his BA in African Studies from the
Friends World College, LIU, Southampton, NY in 1992.
The program included two years of study in Kenya with
emphasis on the Horn of Africa including history, and
cultural identification. He has been a volunteer Big
Brother since 1997 and a Board member of the Madison
Children's Choir from 1998 to 2001. Jeff has received
a couple of grants from the Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium:
a Special Initiative Grant for science curriculum enhancement
in a Milwaukee Public School and an Independent Research
Grant for Research at Kitt Peak National Observatory,
Arizona. He recently completed his MS in Science Education
at the University of Rochester and now teaches physics
and astronomy in a nearby school district.
