Mr.
Draggoo is cofounder of Kid's Cosmos, manager of a store
for Walker's Furniture, a regional retail furniture
chain based in Spokane, an amateur astronomer and a
musician. Kid's Cosmos is a nonprofit educational organization
that provides classroom presentations and teacher in-service
programs on astronomy and related sciences. The organization's
website is a resource for educators and students including
Field Trip to Mars, a comparison of geological features
in Washington with similar places on Mars. The site
can be found at www.kidscosmos.org.
He
has been making astronomy presentations for schools,
scout groups, libraries and business groups since 1997.
As a past Vice President and Board member of the Spokane
Astronomical Society (SAS) he has also been involved
in organizing and producing events for the SAS including
StarGaze, MarsGaze and AstroCon99, the national annual
convention of the Astronomical League in July, 1999.
In
addition to managing a store he has written safety,
sales and management training materials for the 7 locations
of the furniture chain as well as taught employee courses.
He has a BA in Sociology from Washington State University
and a background in professional music and entertaining
which adds to his skills as a presenter.
