Jim Plaxco has been a lecturer on the subjects of space exploration and planetary science for over 15 years. Currently, Jim is a is a Vice President and member of the board of directors for the Chicago Society for Space Studies. Jim is the creator and digital artist for the Mars Art Gallery a web site devoted to imagery of Mars. He is also the creator of Astrodigital a space information web site.
Jim's past affiliations include having been a Vice President of the National Space Society; a Vice President of the Planetary Studies Foundation; President of the Northern Illinois Space Advocacy; a member of the Board of Advisors for the Harper College Center for Meteorite and Planetary Studies; editor of CSSS Spacewatch; editor of PSF News; and editor of the Mars Society's Red Planet Satellite Report.
