I was deeply moved by the Challenger accident as I attended the same high school and college as Christa McAullife. This tragedy is the reason I developed an interest in space exploration. Over the years I have taken advantage of every opportunity offered to further my interest and knowledge. I spent ten, week-long summer courses at the United States Space Foundation and loved every minute. My enthusiasm for space exploration has encouraged three of my former students to pursue careers in the space arena. I love going out at night and looking up at the stars and wonder about the possibilities.
