Biographical Information:

Photo of Ambassador John Beasley After almost 32 years in the general and commercial aviation field John Beasley decided to return to the classroom, but this time as the teacher. In August of 2007, he attended a NASA-sponsored educator's conference in Orlando that coincided with the launch of Educator-Astronaut Barbara Morgan on STS-118. Being able to talk to an educator turned astronaut was a big thrill for John, an astronaut wanna-be. The STS-118 launch was spectacular. While on the bus back to Orlando, John received a call offering him a teaching job in Miami. He accepted that job which was at the elementary school he attended some 40 years the very same classroom he sat as a student.
