John E. Hoot [University of Michigan BS EE & BS CE 74] is founder and president of Software Systems Consulting, a firm specializing in digital image processing and communications. He is avid amateur astronomer operating a computer controlled observatory in San Clemente, CA performing CCD astrometry and photometry. He is the designer of several commercial astronomical CCD cameras, autoguiders, telescope controls, weather satellite telemetry decoders and image processing products.
In addition to my other activities, I am currently providing instrumentation engineering and training services to Mount Wilson Institute.
