John Shepherd is a faculty member of Indiana University in Columbus teaching Planetary Astronomy and Stellar Astronomy. John is also the Managing Director, Senior Astronomer and co-founder at the Link Observatory and Space Science Center in Indianapolis.
John served as a member of the Daventry Supernova Survey team at the University of Northampton, United Kingdom. His current research efforts are in stellar nucleosynthesis and observational astronomy utilizing Indiana University’s Goethe Link Observatory. John lectures at various venues in central Indiana on space science and planetary exploration. He is a member of the Indiana Astronomical Society where he serves as an elected officer since 2006.
