John Shepherd is a faculty member of Indiana University in Columbus teaching Planetary Astronomy and Stellar Astronomy. John is also the Managing Director, Senior Astronomer and co-founder at the Link Observatory and Space Science Center in Indianapolis.
John served as a member of the Daventry Supernova Survey team at the University of Northampton, United Kingdom. His current research efforts are in stellar nucleosynthesis and observational astronomy utilizing Indiana Universityâ€™s Goethe Link Observatory. John lectures at various venues in central Indiana on space science and planetary exploration. He is a member of the Indiana Astronomical Society where he serves as an elected officer since 2006.
