I
have spent my career in Aerospace Engineering, primarily
involved with the design, integration, test, and launch
of commercial satellites. I joined RCA Astro Space in
1984 as the integration and test engineer for the commercial
satellite, ASC. It was an excited opportunity that culminated
with the launch on board the Space Shuttle Discovery
on mission 51-I.
I
then moved to the Propulsion System Design Group, where
I designed rocket propulsion systems for satellites.
It was during my time there that I was awarded two patents
dealing with rocket propulsion.
Since
then I have focused on launching spacecraft. I manage
the Launch Systems Group of Lockheed Martin Commercial
Space. I have been responsible for launches around the
world, Baikonur Cosmodrome; Kourou, French Guiana; Xichang,
China, and Cape Canaveral, Florida.
