Luis Lopez has been fascinated by science, technology and space missions all his life and enjoys learning new fields of study in systems engineering both as a profession and as a hobby. He worked as System Engineer for the Shell Peru Oil Company in Lima for several years before moving on to a new position in the United States.
Currently Luis is working in the Donald D. Warner Student Life Center and Activities Department in Brookdale Community College. In the Student Ambassador Program, he had the privilege of working with an outstanding group of professionals. Luis also stays actively involved in learning about the space program. He enjoys teaching children and adults about space technology and system engineering.
Luis has an Associates Degree in Computer Science from Brookdale Community College and a Bachelor of Science degree in System Engineering from Pedro Ruiz Gallo State University in Peru. Currently he is working on a Master of Science degree in Industrial and System Engineering at Rutgers University and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering at Boston University. Luis' goal is to one day teach science college-level science as well as working in research.
