Maajida Murdock hopes to share her excitement for space science that was sparked by her first gaze into a telescope at age twelve with people of all ages. She also hopes to ignite in others an interest in and excitement for learning about space exploration and its discoveries. She graduated from Morgan State University with Bachelor's degrees in physics and mathematics. She earned a Masters degree in physics from the University of North Dakota. Currently Maajida is a lecturer in physics at Coppin State University and Morgan State University, both in Baltimore, Maryland. She also is a STEM advisor for some local schools in the Baltimore area and a facilitator and trainer for some of NASA educational programs.
