I
grew up in the small Eastern Montana town of Colstrip,
where I graduated from high school in 1996. I matriculated
to the University of Montana where I obtained degrees
in Physics and Mathematics. While an undergraduate,
I participated in the Department of Energy's Energy
Research Undergraduate Laboratory Fellowship Program
at Princeton University, studying plasma particle orbits
in Fusion reactors. I also was part of the 1999 Ames
Astrobiology Academy at NASA Ames Research Center, where
I did research on the Runaway Greenhouse Effect and
created a mission proposal to look for water on the
moon using a robotic rover. Currently, I am attending
graduate school at Montana State University, working
towards a Ph.D. in physics. I hope to eventually work
for the space program, and fly into space myself as
an astronaut.
