Mariano "Mike" Buttitta is married with three children and lives in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey near Princeton.
Mike currently teaches full-time technology education, STEM, and computer classes, for which he was able to design the curriculum. He has been a NASA Endeavour Fellow for the last three years. He is working on getting a MS degree in Technology Education from Valley City State University and an MS degree in Science Education and Space Studies from Montana State University.
He is an active member of the New Jersey Technology & Engineering Education Association (NJTEA), International Technology & Engineering Education Association (ITEEA), and the Amateur Astronomers Association of Princeton (AAAP).
His long-term goal is to design an aerospace engineering class and a curriculum unit on an exploration of Jupiter's moon Europa.
