There
were many times during my early years that I thought
about being an astronaut or an oceanographer, in my
mind the final frontiers. I received my degree in geology
and spent a few years in underground and surface exploration.
My education genes caught up to me and I went back to
get my teaching credential. My husband continues working
in the mining industry. We have two children in high
school and at UNR. I have been very fortunate to follow
my passions in science and would like to continue to
pass the word about the JPL missions and their impact
on our everyday lives. Being out-in-the-middle-of-nowhere
means clear unlit skies most of the year. What a wonderful
place to get excited about space!
