Patsy Patten is a PR professional in the Dallas metroplex. She has been an amateur astronomer since she took a trip to the planetarium at age nine. Patsy served as vice president of the Texas Astronomical Society of Dallas, the largest amateur club in the US, for nine years. During that time, she secured interesting speakers from all areas of astronomy and space research for the monthly general meetings. She was also the PR contact for the Club, promoting all activities through many media outlets. Patsy loves all aspects of space research and feels that both robotic and human missions are vital to our future. She believes the world must continue to explore and study our neighboring planets to determine how Earth fits into that picture. Patsy feels that astronomy should be shared in a way that excites people, not intimidates them. It's a hobby for all to enjoy
