Patty Dailey retired after 31 years of teaching, having taught 4th and 5th grades for 28 years. She then spent a year teaching other teachers for the state as a STARR Teacher. After that one year commitment, she finished her career as a 7th grade science teacher. at Antioch Middle School. Since retiring Patty has done Mad Science workshops for kids, subbed on a limited basis, worked as the Lead Physics teacher for Science City Summer Camp, and teaches an elementary science class for pre-service teachers at Park University.
Patty started as the Assistant Program Director for Science Pioneers in the summer of 2010 and will be the Program Director as of July 1, 2012. She loves this job because she feels it enables her to have an impact as she promotes science and its teaching in a multitude of ways.
Patty has been married for 33 years to a paint chemist. They have a son and daughter, one grandson and a granddaughter on the way.
Patty and her husband love to travel and incorporate some type of science in almost every vacation.
