Philip Evans has been interested in astronomy since the late 1950's. He holds a BS in Computer Science, a BA in Web Design, and an MA in Theology. Philip has worked on several military Satellite projects as well as the Pioneer 11 and Viking projects at JPL. He worked as a team member on the Voyager Project in Telemetry and Command Operations. Philip also worked as Operations Specialist at the Multiple Mirror Telescope Observatory (MMT) and appeared in newspaper and TV spots about the MMT including Sir Patrick Moore's astronomy program on the BBC. He was co-observer on the discovery of a new class of variable stars. Philip believes that it is through public awareness and the involvement of youth in our space programs and astronomy that we will one day reach the stars!
