Biographical Information:

Photo of Ambassador Robert Black I am a 15-year veteran of teaching Science in the public schools and currently teach Astronomy at North Medford High School where I am the Planetarium Director. I became enthralled with Astronomy when I saw the Aurora Borealis at McDonald's Observatory in West Texas in 1989. The sky turned blood red and it was considered to be one of the lowest Latitude sightings of this phenomenon. The wonder and curiosity that this event created in my 8th grade students unbelievable. I have been hooked on Astronomy and space exploration ever since. The Solar System Ambassadors program will help me be a better teacher of the topic I love!
