 Rod
Martin has been a teacher in the Washington County (Maryland)
Public Schools for 33 years. He has taught at the elementary
and middle school levels. Currently Rod is the Planetarium
Resource Teacher and Elementary Science Specialist for one
of the magnet schools of the district. He has participated
in many astronomy activities through the local astronomy club
and Astronomical League. Among completed observational programs
are the Messier, Herschel, and Lunar observing Clubs within
the AL. Rod resides in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, with his
wife Linda. He has two adult children. His hobbies include
golf, working with his homebuilt telescope, golf, watching
professional football, and golf.
