Mr.
Manatt received his BS and MS degrees in Mechanical
Engineering from the University of Southern California
and his MBA degree from Loyola Marymount University.
He is a registered professional engineer in the state
of California and has been elected a corresponding member
of the International Academy of Astronautics' Life Sciences
Section. He is an external board member for the NJ-NSCORT,
a member of the AIAA, and a charter member of the US
Space Foundation.
Mr.
Manatt is a retired engineer with 35+ years of experience
in the aerospace industry where he participated in NASA's
early space exploration programs (Mercury, Gemini, Apollo,
Skylab, etc.). He has been active in the International
Space Station program where he has worked closely with
NASA and the International partners in the design and
development of Environmental Control/Life Support and
Thermal Control Systems. He has supported recent programs
for the development of Mars In-Situ Resource Utilization
and has been with the Solar System Ambassadors program
since 1999.
