Steven Hammond received his Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science with Highest Honors and High Distinction from the University of Maine. As an undergraduate he did high-performance computing research, mostly global change and climate studies, for the Department of Energy and he continued this work after graduating. He went on to develop some early web applications for the power utility industry and has now moved back to New England where he is a senior manager at a Fortune 500 insurance company. He is also licensed as an Earth Science Teacher in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Steve's has always loved science with a particular passion around space science. His real passion is sharing his knowledge and excitement with others.
