 Susan Herder has been a middle school science teacher for the last nine years after completing a master's degree in biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her interest in space stems from her father's stories of working at Cape Canaveral on Saturn V rocket engines. Susan has visited three NASA sites: JPL, Dryden, and Kennedy Space Center, but would like to visit all of them someday. Her most recent claim to fame is being a two-time Jeopardy! champion, where her knowledge of shuttle missions came in very handy. Susan is eager to share her enthusiasm for space exploration as a Solar System Ambassador.
