Ted Blank was born in Syracuse, New York and currently lives in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire with his wife of 33 years, Tina. He is an active amateur astronomer and a member of the Educational Outreach committee of the New Hampshire Astronomical Society. One of his great joys is sharing his interest in space exploration and Astronomical topics at public skywatch events and schools. He has been a space enthusiast all his life, and still remembers the thrill of watching the live TV broadcast of Neil Armstrong's (and mankind's) first steps on the Moon. Ted owns several telescopes which he enjoys setting up for public viewing both "on the sidewalk" and at scheduled star parties. He also sings in two Barbershop Quartets and in the Seacoast Vocal Union Barbershop Chorus, and hosts a blog, http://beachastro.blogspot.com, where he records his astronomical experiences.
