Timothy
was born in 1957, the year Sputnik launched. He was educated
at Syracuse University, graduating in 1979, with a BS in Aerospace
Engineering. Timothy served as an Active Duty Officer in the
Air Force 1979 to 1992, separating as a Captain. He worked
as a Flight Test Engineer at Edwards AFB, Space Shuttle Engineer
at AF Plant 42 (Discovery and Atlantis assembly) and at Vandenberg
AFB (Space Shuttle launch facility), also worked on numerous
missile programs at Vandenberg, and finally as a Training
Systems Engineer at Wright-Patterson AFB. Timothy entered
Air Force Reserves in 1992, and has since been promoted to

He is currently employed as a GS (Civil Servant) working launch
issues at Vandenberg AFB, thus coming full-circle from active
duty employment. Timothy was awarded a Master's Degree in
Psychology from Chapman University in 1992. He is married
to the former Jane "Jamie" Curtis, and appended
the Curtis name, thus giving the hyphenation of "Cassidy-Curtis."
