Timothy was born in 1957, the year Sputnik launched. He was educated
at Syracuse University, graduating in 1979, with a BS in Aerospace
Engineering. Timothy served as an Active Duty Officer in the Air
Force 1979 to 1992, separating as a Captain. He worked as a Flight
Test Engineer at Edwards AFB, Space Shuttle Engineer at AF Plant 42
(Discovery and Atlantis assembly) and at Vandenberg AFB (Space
Shuttle launch facility), also worked on numerous missile programs at
Vandenberg, and finally as a Training Systems Engineer at
Wright-Patterson AFB. Timothy entered Air Force Reserves in 1992 and
retired at the grade of Lieutenant Colonel. He is currently employed
as a GS (Civil Servant) working commercial space issues in the
Greater Los Angeles/Orange County metropolitan area. Timothy was
awarded a Master's Degree in Psychology from Chapman University in
1992. He is married to the former Jane "Jamie" Curtis, and appended
the Curtis name, thus giving the hyphenation of
"Cassidy-Curtis." Tim is a member of the Orange County Space
Society, a chapter of the National Space Society.
