Timothy Taber has been interested in astronomy and space exploration since attending the Astronomy program at St. Paul's School's Advanced Studies Program in 2006. A 2007 graduate of Goffstown High School, Tim grew up in New Hampshire. After graduating from Vassar College in 2011 with a double major in astronomy & physics, Tim has been working as an educator at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center in Concord, New Hampshire, since he started as an intern in 2009.
During his undergraduate career, Tim completed two 10-week astronomy REU programs. In 2009 he worked at Colgate University doing research on quasar variability. In 2010 he traveled to Arecibo Observatory, the largest single aperture radio telescope in the world, in Puerto Rico to work on a project called AGES, the Arecibo Galaxy Environment Survey, a neutral hydrogen galaxy survey.
He hopes to spread his enthusiasm for NASA, space exploration, and astronomy to current and future generations.
