Sitting
in front of the TV as a nine year old and watching Neil
Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin dancing on the moon, Trey
decided that he wanted to be an astronaut. That worked
out well until he grew to be 6 ft 6 in tall. Instead,
he settled for an intense love of space science and
a Bachelors degree in Parks and Recreation. Good things
happen to those who try hard enough however and after
a twenty year career in Parks and Recreation, he is
currently the Manager of the BREC-LSU-BRAS Highland
Road Park Observatory in Baton Rouge, Louisiana living
out his dream of teaching others about astronomy and
space science through public outreach programs. When
he is not at the Observatory, you can usually find him
at home with his wife Liz and their three dogs, all
of whom are very short.
