Dr. Harold (Woody) Davis is Associate Vice President for Research with the University of Texas at Austin. He was formerly with the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Aviation Administration in Washington DC. Dr. Davis is trained as both an attorney and a physician. He is an avid volunteer astronomer and science instructor for the US Naval Observatory, Smithsonian Institution, Boy Scouts of America, and other civic organizations. Dr. Davis' enthusiasm and interest in science is evident in the style of his presentations as well as his ability to translate the complex into the simple.
