Dr. Harold (Woody) Davis works for the Center for Naval Analyses as the Senior Policy Advisor for Air Traffic System Operations at the Federal Aviation Administration in Washington DC. He was formerly Associate Vice President for Research with the University of Texas at Austin. the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Aviation Administration in Washington DC. Dr. Davis is trained as both an attorney and a physician. He is an avid volunteer astronomer and science instructor for the US Naval Observatory, Smithsonian Institution, University of Texas McDonald Observatory Board of Visitors and NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Dr. Davis' enthusiasm and interest in science is evident in the style of his presentations as well as his ability to translate the complex into the simple.
